I'm John, Kent based visionary behind Scalp Mavericks. My journey began with a lifelong passion for art, which I honed from a young age. Armed with a degree in illustration, I spent six years as a professional artist and printmaker, dedicated to the intricate world of detail and artistic expression. However, life took me on an unexpected path, leading me to the bustling world of commodities trading in Canary Wharf. My rapid ascent in this field saw me managing substantial portfolios, culminating in my role as a senior accounts Manager.
While I found satisfaction in the financial realm, my true calling was the fusion of art and business. Enter Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), a game-changing solution that seized my artistic spirit. SMP, to me, is the canvas on which I create intricate, detailed art with each client, helping them realize their dreams of a fuller, more confident appearance. What sets me apart is that I'm not just a skilled artist and SMP practitioner; I'm also a recipient of SMP. I've personally experienced the challenges of hair loss, which fuels my empathy and understanding of what my clients are going through.
My connection to SMP extends far beyond professional intrigue. Like my clients, I have personally experienced the challenges of hair loss. Seeking an alternative to traditional hair transplant methods, I embarked on an educational journey, training with one of Europe's largest and most reputable SMP companies. My dedication to this craft led me to become a Scalp Culture partner in Kent and the creator of training programs for ICCON International. My aim is to empower SMP artists worldwide to better serve their clients.
